Use your voice to create change during our August Dignity Drive.

Menstruating isn’t a choice, but those experiencing period poverty often have to choose between purchasing period products or other essential items just to get by. They shouldn’t have to choose…
We know from our 2024 Bloody Big Survey that three in five (64%) Australians who menstruate have struggled to afford period products in their lifetime due to cost, while nearly one in five have improvised with items such as toilet paper, socks or other materials because they could not access the products they needed.
That’s why twice a year in March and August, we call on Australians to donate period products through our Dignity Drive, to be distributed to our charity partners across the country. By donating period products, you will ensure women, girls and those who menstruate who are experiencing or at risk of domestic violence, homelessness or poverty have access to period products when they need them.
We accept products in original packaging which can be donated at Woolworths Supermarkets and participating businesses nationwide.
Since Share the Dignity was founded in 2015, we have collected and distributed over 6 million period products to those who menstruate – thanks to your kindness and generosity.

Changing the national conversation
For August 2026, we are driving Dignity Drive into something bigger:
A national conversation around menstrual equity, participation and dignity.
Australians are still missing school, work and sport because of periods. When someone misses out on life, opportunities, confidence or community participation due to period poverty, it affects all Australians.
We want Australians to understand that supporting menstrual equity is not just about donating products. It’s about dignity, fairness and making sure no one is excluded from everyday life because of something completely natural.
It’s time to make menstrual equity everyone’s business.
Language Guide
Where possible, please reiterate the theme of this year’s August Dignity Drive:
Menstrual equity is everyone’s business.
We also kindly ask that you please do not refer to our collection boxes as ‘bins.’ As we are only looking to collect unopened period product donations, we don’t want to encourage people dropping rubbish into our boxes. We would be so grateful for your support in this by please only referring to them as ‘collection boxes.’
Products you can donate

Pre-made content ready to share
We would love for you to share a video of yourself donating period products at one of our collection points and discussing why menstrual equity matters to you – and requesting to collaborate with us on your post.
However if you are short on time, here’s something we made earlier… super easy to download and post to your socials in a pinch!

Pre-written captions to fuel your caption inspiration
Social Post #1:
Periods impact participation. Full stop.
Girls missing school, women missing work, people sitting out sport, opportunities and everyday life because they can’t access the products they need.
Menstrual equity isn’t just a women’s issue – it’s an equality issue, a health issue, a participation issue. It’s everyone’s business.
This August, I’m supporting @sharethedignityaustralia’s Dignity Drive to speak up about the conversation Australia still struggles to have, and we need your help.
Please, if you can, donate period products at your local Woolworths Supermarket before the end of the month.
Every donation drives dignity in our communities and furthers the conversations that truly matter.

Social Post #2:
Periods impact more than people realise.
School. Work. Sport. Confidence. Everyday life.
That’s why I’m supporting
@sharethedignityaustralia’s Dignity Drive this August.
Next time you’re at Woolworths, add a
packet of period products to your trolley and
donate it in-store.
Because menstrual equity is everyone’s business.
Together, we can ensure no Australian misses out because of their period.
