Bloody Good Sport is changing the game so no player is benched by their period.
Across Australia, too many athletes skip sport due to shame, stigma or lack of access. By helping us unite clubs, coaches and communities, you’ll be part of creating a culture where every player feels supported – and nothing stops her from playing.

From community fields to major sporting codes, the program works to break down stigma, build understanding, and make period-inclusive sport the norm.

We would love for you to share a photo or video explaining why period-inclusive sport is important to you and if you have ever experienced barriers in participation due to your period.
However if you are short on time, here’s something we made earlier… super easy to download and post to your socials!

Periods are a normal part of life, but right now they are stopping too many young people from participating fully in sport. In Australia, over two-thirds of people who menstruate have skipped sport due to their period. It’s time to transform the way sport embraces women and girls. That’s why I’m proud to be supporting @sharethedignityaustralia’s Bloody Good Sport – a bold new movement to smash stigma, break down barriers, and make sport truly inclusive. Your club can join the movement and pledge to be a Bloody Good Sport, helping to ensure no one misses out, sits out, or feels left out because of their period. Pledge now and learn more at www.sharethedignity.org.au.

It’s time to transform the way sport embraces women and girls. Did you know in Australia that girls leave organised sport at twice the rate of boys during adolescence, with menstruation cited as a leading factor? That’s simply not good enough, which is why I’m proud to be partnering with @sharethedignityaustralia for their Bloody Good Sport initiative – a bold new movement combatting menstrual inequity in sport to make sure every player, every game, every period is covered. We’re asking sporting clubs and organisations to pledge to be a Bloody Good Sport and lead systemic change, empower players, and demonstrate leadership in advancing gender equity – both on and off the field. Pledge now and learn more at www.sharethedignity.org.au.
Thank you for championing period-inclusive sport and joining the Bloody Good Sport movement!
