Its In The Bag 2024

My Updates

💋🩷 Share the Dignity's #ItsInTheBag Christmas Packing Party 🩷💋

Monday 16th Sep
This year we are supporting Share the Dignity's annual Christmas appeal, It's in the Bag. Each year these bags are donated to women and girls doing it tough in Domestic Violence Shelters and Homeless Shelters. Come along to our packing party and spend a few hours making a real difference to someone's life. The bags will be made up by all of us collectively with love and care, filled with the basic essentials for people in need during Christmas time.

💋🩷 HOW IT WORKS 🩷💋

🩷 Purchase some items from the lists provided on the images below. You can purchase as few or as many items as you like.

🩷Bring the items that you've purchased with you on the day of the Packing Party and add them to the donation haul that we will have set up on the day.

🩷Pick up a packing bag (we will provide these) and decide who you are filling it for. There are three categories: Adult, Teen and Mums & Bubs. Choose items from the haul that will be suitable for the person you've chosen to fill the bag for.

🩷Once a bag is packed, add the provided tag to indicate who the bag is for (Adult, Teen or Mum & Bub) You can then add a little note of encouragement to the bag for the person who is receiving it.

🩷Set aside your finished bag and repeat! After the event, Terri and I will take the finished bags to the local Bunnings drop off point. They will then be collected by Share The Dignity Australia and distributed in time for Christmas.

You don't need to sort your items or purchase special bags. We will provide the packing bags and all the donations will be placed in one big haul on the day ready to be picked and packed. So you can bring as few or as many items as you like. There is no minimum amount of items required for you to bring, anything helps, even 1 or 2 essential items.

🚩💋 IMPORTANT 💋🚩

If you are unable to purchase items but would still like to contribute, we really encourage you to join us for the packing party. Many hands make light work and your generosity and time will go towards making someone's Christmas that little bit easier. There are also message cards that will be available for you to write something to the bags recipient, a message of hope, a well wish or a positive word. There are many other ways to give back if you are unable to bring physical items with you. Your time and effort is a wonderful donation in itself.

GRAB YOUR GIRLFRIENDS AND BRING A POP OF COLOUR 🩷

We encourage you to invite your girlfriends along. This event page has been set up so that guests can invite friends, so we encourage you to do so. Wear something pink or red or pop on a bold lip to help bring awareness for Share The Dignity Australia and the incredible work they do. Showing up in Share The Dignity's colours will help us show solidarity with them through our social posts and hopefully navigate more people towards their cause 💋

Yummy refreshments will of course be provided on the day🧁 Kids are more than welcome.

If you cannot make it on the day but would still like to contribute in some way, you can either arrange to give your collected items to us in person before the event, or you can make a monetary donation via this page. The Christmas period can be extremely hard for many, especially when an individual doesn't even have the essentials. We hope that you will join us and help give back to women and girls in need this Christmas 💋
