We are supporting Share the Dignity's #ItsInTheBag
This year the Darebin Hard Rubbish Heroes are holding two packing parties in Northcote to support Share the Dignity's #ItsInTheBag appeal.
We are collecting donations of bags, essential toiletries, period products, and small gifts to help end period poverty and make a difference in the lives of women and teens who are doing it tough.
You can drop off your donations on Tuesdays and Sundays between 2pm and 5pm at the former Darebin Rubbish Heroes pop-up shop which is at Northcote Plaza (in the Separation Street car park, directly opposite Santa Maria college).
The packing parties are on
Tuesday 21st November 5pm - 8pm
Saturday 25th November 2pm - 5pm
Darebin Hard Rubbish Heroes' main focus is promoting sustainability and preventing landfill but we are a community who care and love to support Share the Dignity.
Share the Dignity
Share the Dignity works to make a real, on the ground difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, or doing it tough. They distribute period products to those in need and work to end period poverty here in Australia.
When someone is doing it tough, the last thing on their mind should be dealing with their period.
They assist those in need by collecting thousands of period products each year through collection drives and campaigns and distribute them directly to charities across Australia.
