Kiama Rangers Olaves

Its In The Bag 2024

We just packed 40 bags!

Last night Kiama held our packing party for #ItsInTheBag 👜 We’re helping to achieve the goal set by Olaves around Australia to create 600 bags of essentials and period products for women and girls experiencing homelessness and domestic violence this Christmas. We’re proud to share we’ve contributed 40 bags, including 3 teen bags and 4 mum and bub bags! 💜
A massive thank you to the Girl Guides and their families from the Monash District, as well as participants from our Trivia night earlier this month, who collected and donated 329 items for inclusion in our bags 🤩
We’d like to provide a special shout out to everyone that attended our Trivia Night 💓 We’re proud to share we’ve spent 45% of profits on purchasing 137 more items, including additional required items to complete the bags, some eco-friendly period products, and special items to make some extra mum and bub bags. The success of our Trivia Night has allowed us to make a greater impact, and we’re grateful for the support of everyone that attended 🥹
If you weren’t able to attend Kiama Trivia night and would still like to contribute to our efforts towards ending period poverty, you can add a donation right here so that more bags can be made and donated on our behalf 🫶

We're supporting Share the Dignity's #ItsInTheBag

This year we are supporting Share the Dignity's annual Christmas appeal #ItsInTheBag.

Each year these bags are donated to women and girls doing it tough. The bags are made with love, filled with the basic essentials, period products, and special gifts for people in need during Christmas time.

We have already collected 250+ items from our Trivia Night participants and Girl Guides from the Monash District to help us reach of goal of creating 40 bags packed by our Olaves. However, your donation has the potential to increase our impact.

Please support our contributions by making a donation. Your donations will mean that bags can be put together and donated on our behalf.

Share the Dignity

Share the Dignity works to make a real, on the ground difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, or doing it tough. They distribute period products to those in need and work to end period poverty here in Australia.

When someone is doing it tough, the last thing on their mind should be dealing with their period.

They assist those in need by collecting thousands of period products each year through collection drives and campaigns and distribute them directly to charities across Australia.
