We aim to inspire you and your besties to get involved together and make a difference! Not only will It’s in the Bag have a lasting impact on someone in need, but it’s also the perfect excuse for you and your besties to get together.
It’s the same as our It’s in the Bag Christmas appeal, but these bags have been put together by you and your bestie!
What makes them extra special is the time you get to spend with your bestie while planning, shopping, packing, and delivering the bags to your local Bunnings.
Everyone can get involved! Get your mum's group, work bestie, gym buddy, partner, school group, neighbour, or mum/daughter.
Anyone can join in and have some fun together along the way.
It’s simple: pick up your phone and text your bestie, asking, “Shall we put an It's in the Bag together for Share the Dignity this year?”
When they say yes, do a mini celebratory dance and start planning!
Here’s how you can get your besties involved:
First, text your friends and invite them to join you. Then, set up a group chat to keep everyone connected and build excitement.
Together, check out the shopping list for "It’s in the Bag" and decide on a date to shop and pack your bags. Make sure to schedule a time between 15 Nov – 1 Dec to drop off your bags at Bunnings.
Finally, enjoy the special moments you’ve shared and the positive impact you’ve created together!

Besties committed to packing bags!
When Helen fled DV she was terrified she had done the wrong thing taking her kids out of their home without any of their belongings. They travelled through the night and didn’t even have enough money for the train ride. Eventually, they arrived at a refuge and on the bed waiting were two It’s in the Bag donations for her and her daughter.
Helen recalled it being the first time she had seen her daughter smile since fleeing. She said, “it was everything watching my daughter. Just to see her smile and to be able to relax was incredible.”
Now Helen and her kids are in a much better place, and she said still looks back on her It’s in the Bag donation as something that got her through a tough time.
