Period Pride
We're working to end the shame and stigma that surrounds periods
Gone are the days of whispering that you need a tampon, keeping your period pain a secret or hiding pads under a loaf of bread in your trolley.
We menstruate. Get over it.
Share the Dignity is on a mission to end the shame and stigma that surrounds periods because if we can't comfortably talk about periods, we can't address period poverty. We need to accurately understand the shame people who menstruate experience and how it can impact their lives.
That's why we conducted a bloody big survey on menstruation.
We want school and community groups to break the shame and stigma surrounding periods through creativity to drive discovery and learning, awareness of stigmas, encourage empathy and be part of the solution.
We had 125,205 people respond to the survey so that the data can make a real on-the-ground difference. The data has been crunched, and the Period Pride Report: Bloody Big Survey Findings is live.
Real stories
We've worked with a diverse group of people to better understand how they view their period. We know that storytelling is powerful and these pairs let their guards down and spoke honestly and openly about their menstruation experiences.
