Its In The Bag 2024

We're supporting Share the Dignity's #ItsInTheBag

Call for Donations – Support Share the Dignity's #ItsInTheBag Campaign

As part of our activities for 16 Days of Activism, the Gender Equity Advocates (GEAs) are supporting Share the Dignity's annual Christmas appeal, #ItsInTheBag. This campaign provides bags filled with essentials, period products, and thoughtful gifts to women, girls, and those who menstruate who are doing it tough.

Share the Dignity

Share the Dignity works to support people experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, or anyone doing it tough by distributing period products and working to end period poverty in Australia. Their annual drives collect thousands of items, which are then distributed to charities across the country.

16 Days of Activism

This campaign coincides with 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, an international movement running from 25th November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to 10th December (Human Rights Day). Supporting Share the Dignity aligns with the purpose of this campaign as one of the main recipients are women escaping family violence. It also aligns with our commitment at Council to progressing gender equity.
