Dignity Drive!

Following the success of my Breast Cancer Fundraiser last year I have decided to have another fundraiser - this time to help vulnerable people who menstruate in Australia. All funds raised go towards providing free period products to those in need, giving them the dignity they deserve.

Any support you can give towards our fundraiser will go along way, making a huge, life-changing difference to the lives of many. An alternative to donating money is donating period products (I.e. tampons, pads, liners, period underwear). I will be able to collect physical donations from UQ Art Museum (leave at front desk). If needed, we can make alternative arrangements. 

My goal is to raise $500, collect 500 tampons, 500 pads and 500 liners by March. 

For those who have periods themselves, buying an extra box of tampons each period isn’t a huge commitment. For people who don’t get periods, try and buy a month’s worth of products - the additional spending is not out of the ordinary for ~50% of our population. Hint for non-menstruators: this may be a few boxes of tampons or packets of pads, in various absorbency levels. If in doubt, ask someone around you who has periods!

About Share the Dignity

Share the Dignity works to make a real, on the ground difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, or doing it tough. They distribute period products to those in need and work to end period poverty here in Australia. When someone is doing it tough, the last thing on their mind should be dealing with their period.
